Our Methods Of Data Destruction

1. Shredding

Our Shredder is used to shred Hard Drives, Solid State Drives, Magnetic Tapes (DLT, Ultrium, LTO’s), Optical Media(CDs/DVDs Blu-ray), Credit and Identity cards, USB Sticks, Phones, PDAs and more.

2. Degaussing

Degaussing is the process of reducing or eliminating any unwanted magnetic feed (or data) stored on tape and disk media. Deguassing is used on Hard Drives, Diskettes, Reels, Cassettes, Cartridge Tapes.

3. Crushing

A Hard Drive Crusher is a mechanical device that physically destroys hard drives in such a way that the data they contain cannot be recovered. The data bits on a hard drive are not destroyed by formatting or even overwriting several times with other data.

4. Data wiping

We use a software specially developed for IT Asset Disposition for the destruction of HDD data and which has been awarded the security certification of the ADISA organisation after passing rigorous tests at the UK Cyber Defense Center at the University of South Wales. This software allows the secure erasing of both HDD, SSD drives and mobile devices.

Once a device has been successfully erased, the software generates a certificate containing the serial number, the make and model of the device, the erase method used and the erasure timestamp, among other details. Devices which may not boot for wiping but appear to be cosmetically suitable for reuse will have their hard drives removed, traced and erased in an external disk array or shredded and sent for recycling.
